BEARD SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
Normal scalp shampoo is formulated for just that, your scalp. The skin is different on your face, and so is the hair. Using a PH balanced, naturally formulated for sensitive skin will help fight any dry skin. While added conditioning oils will help keep that beard hair healthy.
It is suggested to use your scalp shampoo on your head first, and then rinse it completely out of your hair. This way any remnants that drip down into your beard will do so before shampooing your beard with the good stuff. But to be safe, tilt your head back when rinsing of your scalp so that all that shampoo goes down your back instead of into your beard.
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT WASH YOUR BEARD DAILY AS THIS WILL STRIP YOUR BEARD OF NATURAL OILS. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO WASH IT EVERY 3 DAYS AT MOST (UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY).
SHAMPOO
STEP 1:
Allow the steam to open up your pores for a few minutes before application. Rub the shampoo into your hands to get a nice soapy lather and then rub it deep into your beard, making sure to really massage right down to the root of the hair follicle to remove any dead skin cells that have accumulated since you stopped shaving. Hair follicle blockages are no fun and could make your beard hair fall out. Leave the shampoo in your beard for a few minutes to allow all the oils from the beard shampoo to soak into the hair and skin.
STEP 2:
Rinse out thoroughly. Pat dry and follow up with other Always Bearded Lifestyle Products.
BEARD CREAM, OILS & BALMS
After your refreshing shower and pat dry of your beard, it is time to moisturize those rebellious bristles of yours. Beard creams and oils do a great job at penetrating deep into your hair follicles and moisturizing right down to the core of the hair. It is import to refresh these oils to keep the hair soft and full of life. When finding out how much product is meant for you, start with our recommendations below and add more if your beard is longer.
After applying oil or cream, beard balm will allow you to trap that moisturizing in all day and protect it from drying out from the environment; providing structure and volume, and hold against those pesky straggler fly-away hairs.
BEARD OIL STEP 1:
Place a small amount of approximately 3-5 drops of oil in the palm of one hand.
BEARD CREAM STEP 1:
Scoop a fingertip of beard cream.
BEARD BALM STEP 1:
Press your fingernail into the balm and drag your finger forward, accumulating a fingernail-sized amount of beard balm.
Transfer your fingernail amount of beard balm into the palm of your hand.
STEP 2:
Rub your palms together with the beard oil, cream or balm.
STEP 3:
Rub and massage thoroughly into your all areas of your beard, making sure to really get right down to the skin and root of the hair follicle.
STEP 4:
Brush your beard hair with a wide-toothed comb a few times, from the bottom of your beard towards your ears in each direction, to brush all oil or beard butter evenly through your beard and into the skin. Yes, this will puff up your beard nice and big, now take the fine tooth comb side and brush your beard down into a nice and neat style.

STEP 5:
Just like your mom told you when you were a kid, “Don’t forget to wash your hands!”. Rinse off all those excess oils and then towel dry your hands. Now you're ready to take on your day with a refreshed beard.
